The paper "Importance of Self Motivation for Proactive Behavior " is a great example of a management research proposal. Many organizations that are oriented by practitioners claim that managers should be very proactive while carrying out their duties and that proactive behavior is continuing to be a significant component of on the job performance. The proactive behaviors of employees are important to the success of any institution in the ever-changing economic environments that we have today. They are in fact very important to environments that are uncertain where the most efficient work behaviors cannot be stipulated in advance. Proactive people take self-initiated action to predict or influence change in their work roles. Proactive behavior is also crucial in the innovation process, changing the transition from the generation of ideas to the implementation of the same (Aragón-Correa, 2008).

Proactive behavior can be looked at in terms of self occupational efficacy and individual initiatives and efforts. Proactive behavior in places of work is basically about taking initiatives. It entails self-directed, expected action with the objective of changing an individual or the circumstance. Examples of proactive behavior involve taking a full position in the improvements of the different methods of work, problem-solving proactivity, making use of personal schemes. Proactive behavior will be defined with the attempt of trying to differentiate it from other related phrases (Vroom, 2008).

    • Research Objective:

The main focus and objective of the entire research report Are “to assess the overall affective commitment and its relationship to proactive behavior". In order to ensure that the objective is met once the research report is completed, it was better to divide the research objective into the questions.

Rationale

It is important to understand proactive in an organization since it helps:-

•One to assess general affective commitment and its relationship to proactive behavior.

•It helps an individual examine the various variables that are related to proactively.

•It helps an employee determine factors that would contribute to effective proactiveness in any work environment.

It is thus important for an individual to be proactive since this helps him/her to be self-initiated and future-focused action in any given institution whereby the involved person focuses on bringing change, adding change to the circumstance and like the introduction of new methods of conducting work and impacting organizational strategy and change to self like the acquisition of new skills to manage demand in future.

In respect to the case study, the major issues which highlight proactivity in the organization are issues pertaining proactive behavior which is crucial in the innovation process, changing the transition from the generation of ideas to the implementation. More so the issues are aimed at defining proactive behavior, its motivators, and the general overview of proactive behavior in any given institution.

Ethical issues

The ethical issues in this case study involve the understanding of how proactivity functions to members in the organization. More so, it has helped in understanding transformational leadership in aspects of increasing employee’s confidence, self-efficacy and role breath while engaging in proactive behavior in the organization. Also, the results in the case study have led to the understanding of different levels of leadership which influences proactivity via different types of mediators. It has also guided employees to initiate confidence and commitment which has enabled to facilitate change while working in the organization.
