The article is base on how severe psychological and emotional distress can lead to accelerated advancement in the progression of the HIV virus.The study uses secondary data in verifying its claims and conclusions. The data drawn is also from major countries such as the United States of America.

The study is thus contented to draw valid conclusions. However, the study does not confer with the most important part of a research paper being primary research. The study thus does not empirically and statistically tests for the real-time progression o the HIV virus in a particular society.The book tends to state the crucial impact played by depression on the progression of the AIDS virus. The study also gives a recommendation of an intervention on psychological disturbance and that it results in the improvement of immune dysfunction.

The book is also true to state that the more the depression more the complications that characterize the treatment of HIV. The results that follow are more suppression of the immune system. The study is also right to state that there is the occurrence of depression can lead to low adherence to medication. The study tends to give so much weight to the issue of depression and its effect on the progression of the HIV virus.
