On the contrary, a home is the feelings that arise as soon as the image arises. Home represents where I laughed, learned, played, and cried. It is the foundation from where I grew up as a confident, intelligent, yet strong person. A home is simply a place where you grew up, all the while waiting for your chance to leave.  To answer the question, "What does home mean for me?", I believe that home means much more than the four traditional walls and the roof above. The complete home represents the environment.

A home takes into account the feelings that meet me at the doorstep as I am about to enter. A home is the people waiting to greet me with delight once I come in the house, and it's the pleasant aromas of different delicacies when I am about to feel hungry. In my opinion, a home is a place with an environment where humans become themselves without judgment. A home enables you to free up your mind, allowing you to be your best self. A Home Is the Shared Experiences No home is complete without experiences, and life-altering moments full of learning.

Consequently, a home also takes the form of the people you find as you walk through the door. In other words, I believe that my family is my home. Further, it is defined by those with shared blood, and more by shared, valued, and treasured relationships. Regardless of where life leads me, I will remain firmly rooted in the above environment, with the people that raised me, and taught me all the life lessons I know. Despite the distance, I am confident of being welcomed back, for a home is a place where the heart is rooted.

A Home Is the People I Call Family Regardless of what my future holds, or where life leads me, my foundation remains firmly entrenched in the people I proudly call my family; for that is my home. For I grew up in an environment where these people were forever a constant, stable, and positive influence, I will always call them home. Because they taught me all the life lessons I know, I am sure to be welcomed back home whenever I appear, after all, I never left, for home is where the heart is, and where it will always live.

According to different dictionaries, the standard definition of "A house" is that it's a building meant for habitation. Conversely, a house has a more special meaning. A home is a place you love to live in and is made up of loving family members, while one simply uses a house as a habitat. More aptly, the house is A House Is Not a Home Consider the number of "For Sale" sighs you have come across in the recent past advertising a piece of property. They are everywhere, from pamphlets and posters in your newspapers, magazines, to online adverts too.

Moreover, there are even more notifications of houses up for rent. While there are millions of houses within the country, there's only one you can call home. It's the house you and your family decide to make your home or to live in. Further, you can sell or rent a house that has been built, but a home is irreplaceable and unquantifiable in terms of price because that is where you live, and your foundation. While a building contractor builds the house, it becomes a home only after a family moves in and fills it with the warmth and vibrancy it previously lacked, hence live in it.

While a house can only provide shelter against the elements, in a home, members find security, emotional support, and belief in one another. Furthermore, while it is not uncommon to see a house put up for sale, the same does not apply for a home, for it is impossible to sell one. Moreover, you will hear people exclaim of how they miss home after being away from their family for a long time, but no one ever misses their house. While there is a home for the aged, in almost every city, there is no house that is built for the elderly.

Calling them houses would be erroneous, for these institutions offer more than just shelter to the aged, including companionship, comfort, specialized care, and emotional support. Honestly, there's no place like home, for home sweet home is where the heart is.
