Conceptual is not a synonym for the concept. Is it quite different from the simple word pronounced as ‘Concept”? It is the perception form of artwork originating from the mind of an artist. After the completion of desired work, the idea is displayed in the structure presumed by the artist. There are many benefits associated with this type of artistic work. There are many benefits associated with this type of work. The idea behind the conceptual artwork is completely different from the traditional artwork. Conceptual artists have the capability to provide meaning to their artistic work in a way that can not be provided by ordinary artists. Conceptual art is not simply the narration of nature; artists can also use this form of art to project the prevailing social problems of society.

As far as the work of Sol Lewitt is concerned, he has done a major contribution towards the growth and development of this form of artistic work. The artist’s will is secondary to the process of conceptual art; he can not enforce his thoughts in such a way that the message of the work lost its meaning. Sol LeWitt is also of the opinion that artists can deceive the perception of the general public through conceptual art therefore viewers of the work should have a clear direction about how to evaluate and criticize the work of their favorite authors. Sol LeWitt also prescribed some measures with the help of which one can evaluate the work efficiently and effectively. Sol Lewitt also believed in endorsing the concept-sharing method in order to nourish the baby concept of one artist. Sharing among people can also help them to produce better final artistic work. There is also a chance that the artist might not understand his work. Therefore artists also need guidance after the completion of their first draft. Conceptual art is a mechanical process therefore its steps should be followed properly in order to avoid any problems. As far as conceptual art is concerned one should also realize the fact that artist might be in the face of finding the truth while developing his product. Therefore it is necessary to make changes once the artist has come to know that he can improve things in a much better way (Peter).

Sol Lewitt is also of the opinion that when art is restricted through the words like sculpture and painting then the artist has very little chance to produce high-quality work by using his imagination. Therefore it can be implied that the artist should not be restricted by traditional boundaries since it can affect his overall productivity while developing the conceptual artwork. The work of an artist may be compared to the conductor in the sense that it may or may not reach the audience in a way that was perceived by the artist. However, this problem can be resolved if artists try to link their artistic work to the contemporary issues of society. The artist should also try to follow the conventions of art so that he can develop quality work. Artists should always come up with new ideas in order to remain competitive in this industry. Sol Lewitt has produced great work himself as well. Lisson Gallery is one of his fantastic works. Lisson Gallery can be considered a gallery of geometrical shapes with hidden meanings in them. There are many people who usually love this type of work. He has also been showing his work continuously through exhibitions around the world. Experts also regard him as one of the authorities in the field of conceptual art. Three-dimensional pictures were not known to the general public before sol lewitt's entry into the field, therefore it can also be deduced that he is the founder of this type of picture in this field.
