The two are from different backgrounds with contrasting cultures. They decide to have a long time relationship despite their contrasting cultural values and traditions. Thus, anyone intending to marry or become married must share mutual love with the partner.

Equally, Orpheus glances back at Eurydice since he is desperate to have her. His actions are controlled by his love for Eurydice hence he does not make rational decisions and becomes excessively desperate to follow her to the world of the dead. Through his actions, it is evident that love can lead to suicide and desperation among different people. People should learn to control their desire and love for others in the community.
