Extract of sample "Land Use around My Community"

The land near my home can be used to enhance the environment quality by planting more trees and putting in more gardens. When I move around, I still see vacant lots and concrete pavements which could be converted to vegetated areas to have more plants that will absorb carbon dioxide in the air.

If there is anything that I would advocate in my community, it would be the segregation of our trash and recycling them. I chose this advocacy because it is doable on my end as a student and has a significant impact to reduce our waste and carbon emissions. All I have to do is ask my friends to organize ourselves and do an information campaign about the benefits of segregation and how to do it. I would also appeal to our local government to promote the initiative and provide more facilities for segregation. Read More
