? ID Lecturer Health Care Industry During the last 10 years, health care has shifted gears tremendously well. The research within medical science has allowed in tackling incurable diseases of the past. It has allowed people to be on top of their health and spirits by giving them miraculous cures, medicines, quick recovery periods and so on. This has meant that the entire field of health care has been benefited with the end result deemed as a successful one for the patients. During this last decade, the health care costs have increased but then superior quality health care services have a price tangent attached to it, which is only understandable. On the whole, the health care has improved as this has been proven on a global level. New machines have come in and so have the doctors upgraded their selves in line with these advancements within medical science. Within the coming 10 years, the biggest change within health care would be in terms of finding remedy for the diseases which are taken on as incurable in this day and age. One should believe that with the fast changing medical science, this is indeed a possibility. It would make lives easier for everyone, and allow the people to feel satisfied whenever they come to know about some serious ailment. They would know beforehand that medical science and the health care domains would take care of them, and thus their health regimes would be properly addressed. I also foresee that the health care costs would increase many a times. Even though this is a depressing point, but the fact of the matter is that such things do happen when health care realms advance on a massive scale (Pierce, 2005). Within the industry I plan to serve as a medical assistant who shall help the doctors in completing their respective tasks. This will allow me to be on top of my work and assist the ones who are committed to performing at the best of their skills and abilities. A medical assistant learns so much on the job that he is indeed half a doctor himself. He is made to see patients even before the doctors do which suggests for their importance within this profession. I am sure that if I become a medical assistant I will showcase my true mettle through hard work and belief in whatever I do. It will allow me to look after the wishes and requirements of the patients which is a fulfilling feeling nonetheless (Janus, 2010). I am sure this role will be able to serve the industry immensely and encourage others to join it as and when they would like to be a part of it. I will evolve myself consistently by paying heed to the medical literature which is already available as well as interacting with the doctors and senior staff present within the medical facility. It will allow me to learn the tricks of the trade in an upfront way. It shall also give me a chance to understand how things work within this industry. I will make sure that I ask a lot of questions because this remains a very important aspect of the medical field. Since this industry is progressing at a rapid pace, it is imperative that I keep myself abreast of the changes which are taking place. It will make me feel at ease whenever I am dealing with a patient or discussing a case with my senior doctors and peers. My confidence would be supreme as I have been changing my stance with the passage of time – a fact that shall be appreciated by all and sundry. My perception of health care changed over the course of my program in a way that I could not even think of. This is because my expectations from the medical field from many and I believed that this is a very well paying job. When I entered within the medical field, I realized that it was not all about payments and high salaries rather the feeling of care giving was something different and in its own perspective (Mallak, 1998). I wished to be a part of one such feeling because it completed me immensely and defined me who I was from inside. Even though health care is an advancing field, it would not be wrong to suggest that this industry has made giant strides into zones which were deemed as unthinkable in the past. The future holds a lot of promise as far as I can see. Within the coming decade, technology has a huge role to play within the health care organizations. This is because the scientific fields are reliant on the use of technology and without the proper incorporation of technology, there are many vast areas which need to be discerned and determined. When technology seems to be the buzzword as far as the health care organizations are concerned, then things start shaping up automatically. I am confident that within the coming decade, there will be technological surprises which shall benefit humanity at large and allow people to start believing in the miracles of science and especially the medical science field. Within the next 10 years or so, the health care industry will have serious financial and economic issues plaguing it because already the common man and woman on the street is unable to pay the health care and medical bills and thus the situation will get even more bleak in the future. I am sure that with the proper role played by the governments of different nations of the world, this anomaly can subside drastically yet the ‘being expensive’ tag is here to stay for long. It will haunt the people endlessly because with the proper incorporation of technology and its related domains, things will become difficult in terms of managing the costs attached with the health care industry (Rivers, 1998). These financial and economic issues need to be gauged adequately by the people who are bringing in the much needed changes within the health care industry so that the people do not feel burdened. There has to be a concerted effort in place to make sure patients and their family members remain contented. References Janus, K. (2010). Managing motivation among health care professionals.
