The company is guided by the above four values as it continually enhance its platform where patients share and learn from outcome-health data as they lean from real-world. The company has centered its business on the four values through aligning patients and the industrys interest through the data-sharing partnership. It intends to work with nonprofit, research company partners who make use of health data in improving services, products, as well as patients for care (Wicks, Massagli, Frost, & Bradely, 2010).. This paper explores the analysis of the PatientsLikeMe website and other related websites with particular interest in features, use, and capabilities.

The paper also investigates about the website popularity and success. Additionally, the paper explores a framework that evaluates and assesses the website’s information management in terms of trustworthiness, citations to other references, frequency of updates, the usability of information, the currency of the knowledge base and other related factors. PatientsLikeMe is one of the popular sites that offer information about healthcare to patients. Indeed, according to Gupta and Ris (2011), the popularity of the site has significantly grown so that it involves as many as over 80, 000 patients sin the discussions.
