Thus reviewing the research as evidence is the primary technique of this particular study and involves detailed analysis of the research available from primary studies depending on secondary data. The process of the study involves the transfer of knowledge through the use of publications, electronic media, education, training and decision support systems to health professionals, health facilities, and health systems (Hemingway and Brereton, 2009).

Cancer is a leading cause of death. Thus the measures necessary for the caregiving to such patients need to be effective enough to reduce the stress on the patients with the use of interventions that would allow the patients to become self-sufficient in managing their stress and fatigue (Moore, 2009). The disease of cancer reflects an unusual growth of cells in the body of the affected individuals. There are almost 100 different types of the disease, including breast cancer, prostate cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, as well as cancer in other parts of the body (Cancer Overview, 2013).

The disease has been found to develop from the normal cells of the human body. It can develop in any organ in the body and the most common causes that have been obtained leading to the disease include the use of chemicals like benzene, excess intake of alcohol, toxins present in the environment, excessive exposure of the body to sunlight, problems related to genes and heredity, obesity, radiation and viruses (Cancer, 2012). The different types of cancer reflect different symptoms. However, there are certain symptoms that are common in all the patients affected by the disease. Moreover, there are certain types of cancer that do not present any severe symptoms unless they are in an advanced stage of the disease (Fayed, 2009).

Cancer is a kind of disease that can lead to any form of signs or symptoms in the patients. The symptoms mostly depend on the organ or the part of the body that has been affected by cancer. If cancer becomes malignant or spreads across the body, then the symptoms are also obtained in different parts of the body. Symptoms like fever, stress, tiredness and fatigue are generally common with all cancer patients. Fatigue generally occurs in cancer patients since the disease uses up most of the energy of the body (Signs and Symptoms of Cancer, 2012). Fatigue is mostly caused in cancer patients during and after the process of treatment that the patients undergo (Cancer fatigue: Why it occurs and how to cope, 2011).

Fatigue is one of the most common symptoms that cancer patients suffer from. 60-100 per cent of individuals affected by cancer suffer from fatigue. The incidence of fatigue has been recorded to be at 65-100 per cent in cancer patients who have undergone the treatment of chemotherapy (Yarbro, et al. 2005). Stress is another severe symptom that is associated with the disease cancer. Not only does cancer leads to stress in the patients, the stress that is created also contributes to more severe effects of the disease on the patients that is further harmful to them (Rosenbaum and Rosenbaum, 2012) ...Download file to see next pages Read More
