Art - Up-and-Coming Galleries Showing Previously Unseen Artworks The artwork depicts different significant meanings. It is used to define nature, the nature that has no human interruption. The concept adopted by various artists use the visual artwork to pass their message to the audience. However, analyzing their work requires a keen examination of their concept. The essay will analyze Charles Avery and Fiona Hall artworks. This will include the things they share in common and the way they illuminate their attitudes on “nature”, the various understandings, and political views. Ideally, their works capture crucial themes that display their shared commonalities that have inspired other artists. Concentration will be on the contents of the artworks, exhibition, materials used, inspirations, presentation of their work, and analyze some of their art (Oliver &Isabel, 2011). Charles Avery a London based artist covers meticulous bold sculptures and drawings that have extended series. His concept has seen the creation of the fictional land referred to as "The Island”. His work has been committed to the expansion and exploration of cosmologies, customs expansion, and people of a pictured place (Aiken, 2011). Lately, his focus has been on the Onomatopoeia in which denizen that resembles human being wear clothes, ride bicycles, and attend art concerts and refuse to identify themselves with any generations, culture or country. Ideally, Avery’s works cover the utopia, globalization, and dystopia themes. Avery artwork confines the nature as depicted in the way he pursued the story of Island (Artsy Editors, 2014). His concentration of the Island since 2004 encompasses a growing body that has detailed drawings, delicate composition, artifacts, films, installations, text works, and sculptures. The essence of Onomatopoeia is its portrayal as it stands at the entry point. The viewer requires an imaginative faith in understanding his work. Notably, the artwork shows the extent of the texture and depth of the artist's imaginative world in which the world is illuminated in recent years (Judith, 1997). The Untitled (progresssionalsist), Ingleby Gallery 2014 Ideally, the picture above depicts only the fragment that captures the part of a larger story. Coalesce create the evocative visions about the city which is in on the verge to regenerate. The Ingledi gallery refers the works as capturing wonderful and diverse things. The Avery’s drawings are captivating given the way he illuminated the city by creating upstanding sites (Artsy Editors, 2014). For example, Onomatopoeia shows a group of people surround the huge ell. The hip couple is described as the “followers of knot Faah” which suggests that their leader is in the cult world and views follow the life philosophy of the world they live (Kedmey, 2015). Untitled (The Eternal Return), 2012 The external return depicts Avery’s idealisms in making his drawings. The background of the painting shows the Island he has been working on and the external return illuminates the imaginary world that he seeks to let the viewers see through his work. Island is a fictional world in which Avery uses different modes to nourish it by adopting philosophical reflection (Judith, 1997). The inspiration behind the island through the life philosophical Joseph Beuys and William Blake, for instance, the debate on the existence of a Noumenon, a mythical being is discussed, however, no one has seen it despite the exploration done by the hunters. The exhibition of the island captures the insights of the beliefs, culture, and economy. It is apparent in Avery’s’ work on his interest in philosophy and mathematics like the way the Eternal Return drawing shows the trees using mathematical patterns. It allows adopts the skillful drawing that follows his narrative which is full of humor, imagination, and fully detailed (Oliver &Isabel, 2011). Although the drawing does not illustrate utopia, the illustration follows the fictive societies that reflect traits of leaders. For instance, “the eternal dialectic”, which adopted the name that has endless philosophical argument, creates the salons and bars of the Onomatopoeia city. This way, the approach to overact the theme gives Avery an opportunity to exercise freedom in his word hence cover a wide range of ideas (Kedmey, 2015). Untitled (Onomatopoeia harbor gate, West tower, with Oarsman in foreground), 2018 The drawing at capturing the oarsman illuminates the way the artist appreciate nature and his love for ideal scenery. The painting is fascinating and a viewer can easily relate to the serene environment (Kedmey, 2015). Parasolstice - Winter Light 2015: Charles Avery Another aspect of Avery about the island is the way he captured the flora and fauna of the imaginary island. The evolving lifelong projects illuminate the island’s customs, culture, religion, and rituals. During the Edinburgh Art Festival, Avery presented one of his unique drawings. The towering cast made of bronze was the “Tree No 5 “which was from the adindagadendar illustrated Parasol Unit outdoor terrace. The park was filled with different organisms. It captured the nature of the island as it had tree, shrubs, and flowers. Avery considered the items as forms of souvenirs that visitors often took to the island. The unveiling of the sculpture was done first in July 2015. This was part of appreciating Avery’s artwork as he was given a slot by Parasol Unit to participate in the art exhibition. The colors of the pattern utilized the entire environment and the displayed different colors making the painting attractive and memorable (Artsy Editors, 2014). Fiona Hall is another artist that used art to express herself. She is Australia’s leading contemporary artist. She uses different modes of presentation like Avery Charles. For example, Fiona Hall used installation, sculpture, paint making, and collage. The diversification of her art adopts different media as she expanded her career in art. Hall first exhibition was in the Thought and Images at George Paton and Ewing galleries in 1974. The choice of the material used in the artwork is central to the artwork practice as she tries to address the relationship between nature and contemporary concerns like consumerism and globalization. Ideally, the inspiration makes Fiona Hall’s work to be interesting as the fascinating world created using her productions, especially through her Fall Prey project (Australian Council for Art, 2015). Additionally, Hall presents her artwork capturing the human interaction with the environment and history. The ideals she wanted to portray are presented in military sculptures of the endangered species. The prolific career of the artist illustrates the collective shows like the Documnta 13 (Judith, 1997). The love for the nature expressed through her is based on her capturing the structures of endangered species. Everyone wishes that they saw the endangered species during their lifetime. Hall makes this possible by using art. She crafts different structure and creates different species that were barely seen. Additionally, threatened species frameworks were created by Hall to showcase her concern of their wellbeing (Oliver &Isabel, 2011). The structures were picked from IUCNNRL (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources’ Red List). Hall became a competent photographer as she was mentored through the painting of her teacher at ESTS. The solo exhibition in a creative gallery in 1977 paved way for her generation of more artwork. The presentation of the artwork also shows the use of erotic vignettes, boatanicla specimens, and body fragments. The concentration on the flora and fauna explains her connection with nature. The exhibition at South Australia during the contemporary art presentation in Adelaide Biennial saw Hall achieve the great acclaim in Paradisus Terrestris series (Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery, 2014). Castles in the Air of the Cave-Dwellers, 2008 The purist of the artworks also illuminates the culture and language behind the objects. This helps in understanding the art and the history of the objects. The contemporary world help create the objects and Hall used it to display stunning pieces making her the most respected artist in Australia (Australian Council for Art, 2015). Further, her world engaged deeply in history, globalization effects, and history. Her works were uniquely crafted as she offered a new sense of contemporary art. For example, Hall uses US dollars to create the 21st Century Man in 2011. 21st Century Man, 2011 The presentation of the myriad issues illuminated the modern art using which explained the contemporary age issues and the fresh perspective of understanding human structure based on the modern era arguments. The creation of Documenta 12 in Germany 2012 helped anchor the human relationship with nature and explaining the preoccupation influence. The nature of the world is graced by its grotesquery and beauty (Hall, 2011). Nature also captures the culture of the people as exhibited in Fall Prey. Ideally, her world was focused on creating awareness about the threatened and the endangered species. Additionally, she explains through artwork about environmental degradation. The species are threatened by the human exploration of the environment. The human activities are the sole reason the species have disappeared. This is a form of criticizing the human activity that is not mindful of the other species existence on the environment. Just like Avery, Hall received solo exhibiting that was exceptional. Hall had her works included in over 150 crucial groups and solo exhibitions in places like Adelaide, Art Gallery of South Australia, an oslyn Oxley9 Gallery, and New Plymouth among other areas. Progressively, Hall explores other themes in her works using the art to convey the message; the other themes she was interested in were politics, consumption, and trade. The themes were all done in relation to the nature of the environment. As a leading contemporary, Fiona Hall work was controversial as well. Fiona works like the No Man IS an ISland, which had missed upper case and lower case would read as ‘No Manus Island.’. This was her textual way of illuminating the influence of the government and other institutionalized spheres sanctioned violence (Hall, 2011). Equally, the materials used were bronze and utilized the 3-D format, for example, the Castles of Lost Destinies. The presentation of the weapons hand which covers the jerry-rigged depicting No. 8 wire correspond to her ideas in explaining the human relationship with the environment. Castle of Lost Destinies, 2015 Exquisitely delicate artwork of Fiona hall reminds viewers of the fragile diversity of nature. In this way, viewers would be challenged on the need to conserve the enragement lest it is degraded. The invisible gems depict the delicate nature of the environment as the delicate works take the replica of nature in respect to the contemporary art. The close relation of the Fiona Hall and Charles Avery artwork is based on their shared themes. Their attitude toward the environment is exceptional. Both aspire to conserve the environment and use their skills in portraying the nature of the environment (Hall, 2011). Ideally, illuminating their art based on nature created fascinating memories in which their views related and helped in creating contemporary art. Further, the artwork done by the two artists were inspired by previous pioneers. This way there work is a modification of earlier form only the difference is their objectivity in understanding the effects of globalization and nature (Oliver &Isabel, 2011). The aspiration of the artists also concerned the creation of unique artworks. For example, Fiona Hall used structures to create sculptures showing endangered species while Charles Avery used the imaginary creation of an island capturing the essence of nature. Their shared option about the environment presents their diverse unique posts regarding various themes that are connected to humanity (Judith, 1997). Conclusively, an artwork presentation captures essential themes. The illumination allows viewers to interpret the visual work based on contemporary art. The aspiration of Hall and Avery is to present unique artwork that captures the essence of nature. The paintings and carvings of their artwork correspond to the way we often relate with the environment and the expectations of conserving it. Additionally, the inspiration of the artists received different recognition which displays the appreciation of their work in connection to the environment and the other themes that the artists deemed ideal to discuss. Concern on the treatment of the artwork by viewers depicts the need for critical interpretation. It is, however, essential to capture the attitude of the artist by viewing the texture, shape, and the color the artist used. This way, the visual analysis can bring significant meaning which ensures the actual meaning of the artwork is not distorted or interpreted otherwise. The pictures showed also help identify their commonality which lies on the unique composition of the pieces of art. References Aiken, Charles Avery.
